Accurate analysis of spectral information requires careful calibration. Because ambient conditions can vary greatly, it is important to calibrate spectral data sets, especially when conducting temporal analysis. This typically means using a down welling light sensor, capturing a white calibration and/or capturing a dark calibration. There are three key terms critical to spectral calibration.
