Trevor’s experience in the small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) industry started in January 2014 at Kansas State University’s Applied Aviation Research Center (AARC). Trevor was assigned the primary task of data management and analysis. Using programs such as Agisoft Photoscan and Pix4D Mapper, Trevor organizes and processes the vast amounts of data collected from the AARC’s many research projects. Over the past two years Trevor’s role has expanded to include training new employees how to analysis and process sUAS data, presenting various UAS topics at multiple venues, and aiding flight operations in the roles of external pilot and air vehicle operator. In addition to his work for KSU, Trevor is an entrepreneur and undergraduate student studying Aviation Technology. Trevor founded Witt Tech LLC, a FAA authorized commercial sUAS company that provides low altitude aerial photography for a variety of industries. During his undergraduate studies at KSU, Trevor received the Phi Kappa Phi award for being the highest achieving sophomore in the College of Technology and Aviation and was the UAS Student of the Year for 2014-2015. Trevor is excited to bring his UAS experience to the McLab and ultimately help bring greater security to our global food supply.
